Lynn Palmer Architects is an architectural practice situated in Thame (Oxfordshire), which manages all aspects of the architectural process. From building surveys, planning applications, listed building consent, building regulations through to complete project management of the project.

 

Duties:

-    Carrying out surveys to achieve an accurate representation of the existing building and this is backed up with floor plans, elevations and 3D model.

-    Preparing and presenting feasible reports and design proposals to clients, developing 3D concept designs.  

-    Attending project meetings

-    Preparing planning permission package and submission to the Council Planning Department for your Planning Permission

-    Preparing Building regulation package (technical drawings)

-    Analysing tender documentation

 

Skills:   Revit, 3D MAX, AutoCAD, Photoshop, EXCEL, good eye for detail, strong flair for design, knowledge of relevant rules, regulations, and quality standards, knowledge of building products and construction details.

I collaborated to create new concepts and interiors for Starbucks, around the UK, France, Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Being involved in the all design process. From modelling existing building in 3D to prepare technical drawings for contractors.

 

Duties:

-    Create new concepts and interiors offering to client 3D views using Revit and Photoshop, and showing them a realistic image with materials and bespoke furniture.

-    Prepare layout plans according to the client´s needs using Revit and AutoCAD.

-    Producing detailed and accurate drawings using Revit.

-    Prepare accurate measurements with Revit  

-    Liaising with clients  

 

Skills: Revit, AutoCAD, Photoshop, communication and organisational skills, a good understanding of the client's needs, drawing skills, ability to produce innovative ideas, design and creative skills, working under pressure to tight deadlines.

BUILDING/QUANTITY SURVEYOR

I collaborated on the construction of new retail food establishments and on remodelling existing establishments. I worked with international companies like: McDonald’s and Sodexo, among others.  

 

Duties:  

-    Obtaining building permits and licenses in order to build or refurbish buildings.

-    Preparing reports and drawings required by council and the client.  

-    Urban planning. `Estudio de Detalle´ in El Gamonal in Burgos

-    Developing tender documentation

-    Measurement and economic valuation of the construction before the construction, during the process and at the end

-    Preparing Health and Safety documents to improve the work place.  

-    As-built architectural plans to the client. Urban Planning.

I set up a firm with other building professionals. We issued more than forty certificates for homes and establishments.

 

Duties:

-    Architectural plans using AutoCAD.

-    Reporting information on properties´ energy use and costs, besides recommendations for reducing energy use and saving money

-    Calculation of energy efficiency in order to comply with the EU regulations.

-    Design of the website, logo and advertisement.
